In the first annual 'Dilly Dash' the SAVCC runners fared well vs. local rivals Spring Lake Park and Fridley.  The meet was held at Brightwood Hills Golf Course in New Brighton and consisted of 1 mile and 2 mile runs.  After running their race all runners received a dill pickle on a stick (in honor of the state fair starting).  

In the Girls 'Big Dill' race, the Huskies took 1st overall as a team.  Kathryn Skinner (3rd), Samantha Solboe (4th), and Lily Saddoris (5th) led the way for the girls.  The boys team ended up 3rd place overall with James Frigstad (5th) and Davin Dahl (6th) leading the way for the team.  The 'Big Dill' races were 2 miles and meant for older/more experience runners.  

The 'Gherkin' races were 1 mile and meant for younger or inexperienced runners.  For the SAVCC girls, Joanscott Huner (1st), Teagan Gillard (2nd), and Lauren Gibb (3rd) led the way for the team.  On the boys side Weston Russel (1st), Sam Heckel (2nd), and Jack Peterson (3rd) were the top runners.
